I’ve been outlining Some Like It Shot, which is the next book in the Agatha Bright Mysteries. This is a little inside scoop into my process: I start with the murder. Then, I add in plot lines about Agatha, her romance, her family, her friends, and the town. Then, I organize them in sequence. After, I write each scene on a notecard. There are always a lot of notecards because I have so many scenes in my books. Is this normal? I’m thinking that it isn’t! As I write, I change scenes and add them and move them around. I’ve only ever changed the murderer once, though, and that was in Jurassic Dark in the Goodnight Mysteries.
